This year our team has grown a lot. We’ve improved our culture, lifted our standards again, and built more capability so we can look after you with an even wider range of plumbing work. I won’t go into the full list, but what matters is this: we are now in a stronger position than ever to deliver better service, better quality, and better outcomes for you.

When I took over the company in 2009, I had a simple vision. I wanted every single client to receive the highest level of plumbing service possible. I never wanted anyone to feel like they had to put up with second-rate plumbing in their own home. And today, looking at where we are, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. I’m proud of the people we have on our team. Every one of them cares. They care about your property, they care about the job they’re doing, and they care about doing it properly. That is Thoroughgood Plumbing at its core. Professional work backed by genuine care.

2025 has been a landmark year for Thoroughgood Plumbing, defined by growth, innovation, and a renewed dedication to the Central Coast community we proudly serve. From expanding our team to sharpening the way we work, this year has left us feeling incredibly grateful and energised for what’s ahead.

New Faces, New Energy. Our Team Grows to 10

One of the biggest highlights of this year has been welcoming new talent into the Thoroughgood family. Our crew has officially grown to a 10-member team, including two bright apprentices, Fred and Tara, who have jumped headfirst into learning the trade.

Expanding the team means more than just extra boots on the ground. It gives us the ability to better support homeowners, property managers, businesses, and real-estate clients across the Central Coast, and with quicker response times and even greater reliability.

But perhaps most importantly, taking on apprentices allows us to invest in the future of our industry. Passing down the skills, standards, and strong craftsmanship that have defined Thoroughgood Plumbing for three generations is something we’re proud to continue.

Blending Tradition & Innovation

While our team has grown and our systems have evolved, our heart hasn’t changed. We still approach every job, big or small, with the same commitment to quality work, respectful service, and genuine relationships.

This year, we pushed ourselves further by modernising the way we operate. From GPS-tracked service vehicles and more efficient scheduling tools, to clearer communication with our clients, every improvement has helped us deliver smoother, more reliable service.

We also made a major investment in advanced leak detection technology, ensuring we can offer some of the highest-calibre leak detection services available on the Central Coast. It’s a perfect example of how we’re blending tradition with innovation: combining decades of experience with modern tools that help us get the job done right, the first time.

Looking Forward… Building on What Matters

Reflecting on 2025, we’re proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re equally proud of what hasn’t changed. From a single tradesman in the 1950s to a thriving team of 10 today, our journey shows that family values, professional integrity, and a strong sense of community never go out of style.

As we head into 2026, we’re excited to keep building on this foundation. With apprentices learning from experienced hands, and a team more capable than ever, we look forward to continuing to deliver the top-notch plumbing service the Central Coast knows and trusts.
